The biggest markdown on a kids calling watch is the TickTalk 5: a Prime Big Deal at $119.99, 25% off its $159.99 list price, for Prime members. It is the previous generation, so read the note below before you buy. When is Prime Big Deal Days 2026?

October 6 and 7, 2026, from 12:00 a.m. PT on October 6 to 11:59 p.m. PT on October 7. It is Amazon's second Prime event of the year (the first ran in June), and the deal prices require a Prime membership. If you are not a member, Amazon offers new members a free Prime trial.

The deals worth taking

TickTalk 5 — $119.99 for Prime members (list $159.99). The biggest markdown on a kids calling watch this Prime Day. It is the previous generation, but it is the last TickTalk that takes your own AT&T or T-Mobile nano-SIM, and it keeps free built-in iHeartRadio. More in the TickTalk section below.

COSMO JrTrack 5 — sold out. It sold out at $99.99 (list $129.99) on Prime Day afternoon. COSMO's JrTrack 5 SE is in stock at $129.99, sold by COSMO; COSMO describes it as the same hardware with an updated app that adds School-Fi. Apple Watch SE 3 GPS + Cellular — $249 (list $299). Make sure you get the cellular model: Apple's Family Setup, which lets a child use the watch without their own iPhone, requires it. At $249 the cellular model costs what the GPS-only model normally lists for. It needs a parent's iPhone to set up and a cellular line on your carrier, so it only makes sense for Apple families with older kids. See our Apple Watch SE for kids guide.

If your child already has their own iPhone, the GPS-only Apple Watch SE 3 is $199 (list $249) and pairs with that phone, with no watch plan needed. It won't work with Family Setup, so skip it for a child without a phone.

Xplora X6Play — $169.99 (list $189.99). It pairs a camera and video calling with an Xplora Connect SIM that comes already installed and runs on AT&T and T-Mobile networks. A standard GSM SIM also works, though Xplora doesn't support that setup. A modest discount, but it is real. Read the Xplora X6Play review.

For Samsung families: the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 LTE (40mm) is $219.99 (list $299.99), from a third-party seller. Its kids mode needs a parent's Samsung phone; see our Samsung Galaxy Watch for kids guide.

For a young child who doesn't need a phone watch: the VTech KidiZoom Smartwatch DX4, the successor to the DX3 we reviewed, was $19.38 sold by Amazon on October 5. It has cameras and games, no GPS, no calling and no monthly fee.

Back in stock: the TickTalk 5

The TickTalk 5 went "Currently unavailable" on Amazon in mid-September. It is back in stock at $159.99, sold by TickTalk's own Amazon storefront and shipped by Amazon. TickTalk's own store still lists it as sold out, so treat this as remaining stock. On Prime Day it is a Prime Big Deal at $119.99, 25% off its list price, for Prime members.

It is the previous generation, replaced by the TickTalk 6, so we no longer call it our top pick. Two things still set it apart: it is the last TickTalk that takes your own AT&T or T-Mobile nano-SIM, and it keeps free built-in iHeartRadio. The TickTalk 6 requires a TickTalk Wireless plan at $9.99 or $19.99 a month, and moves music to TickTalk Radio on the pricier plan.

The TickTalk 6 is not part of Prime Day. It is sold only on TickTalk's own store, still on pre-order at $169.99, and TickTalk now says it expects to ship by October 5, 2026. (Update, October 23: it has since shipped and is on Amazon at $169.99.)

Not a deal right now

• Gabb Watch 3e — $229.99. This is a price increase, not a pre-sale markup: Gabb's own site lists the same $229.99. It was $169.99 on Amazon in September.
• Garmin Bounce 2 — $299.99. Full list price. It was $249.99 on Amazon in September, so it has dropped before.
• Garmin Bounce — $149.99. Full price, up from $119.99 in September.
• Garmin Vivofit Jr. 3 — $88.99. Only one band design (Peach Leopard) was still in stock on October 5, from a third-party seller, at about its $89.99 list price.
• Fitbit Ace LTE — $179.95. Back in stock on Prime Day afternoon after weeks without new stock, but not discounted (list $229.95).

Not on Amazon at all: the Gizmo Watch 3 and Gizmo Watch 4 are sold only through Verizon, and the TickTalk 6 only through TickTalk. Prime Day prices do not apply to them.

How to tell if it is actually a deal

Sellers sometimes raise the list price right before a sale so the discount looks bigger. Two habits protect you:

1. Compare against the list price, not the crossed-out price. Our deals page shows each watch's list price next to its current Amazon price, so you can spot a genuine markdown.
